Black Friday at South Shore: Santa, Jazz, BBQ Ribs and Radio Alice

Plus check out Santa's schedule through Christmas Eve.

South Shore Center kicks off the holiday shopping season with a line-up of afternoon and early evening events on Black Friday, Nov. 29, according to an announcement from the center.

All events take place in the Neptune Court and at the Little Ice Rink. Here's the schedule:

Get your photo taken with Santa, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. (Santa will be at South Shore through Christmas Eve, Dec. 24. Hours are Monday-Friday, 3-7 p.m.; Saturdays, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sundays, 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Dec. 20-23, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; Dec. 24, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. No Santa on Monday-Wednesday, Dec. 2-4 and Dec. 9-11.)

Ice skating at the Little Ice Rink, noon-10 p.m. (The rink is open seven days a week through Jan. 20. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 3-10 p.m.; Friday-Sunday, noon-10 p.m. Stroller Skates every Tuesday at 2 p.m.)

BBQ from The Rib Whip, a gourmet food truck, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. (The Rib Whip will also be giving free milk and cookies to children who have their photos taken with Santa through 7 p.m.)

Radio Alice 97.3 is sending a team to the The Little Ice Rink from noon to 2 p.m. You can sign up for a chance to win tickets to the sold-out Alice in Winterland concert, featuring Michael Franti, Gavin DeGraw and Delta Rae. 

Caroling, 2-4 p.m.

Live jazz, 4-7 p.m.

Santa skates at the Little Ice Rink, just before 6 p.m.
